Skinny Water Review

Recently I received a case of Skinny Water from the company to review. The company was founded in 2006 and boasts a sugar, calorie, and sodium free great tasting product. Skinny Water has added electrolytes, vitamins and antioxidants that plain water does not provide. I was provided with the following flavors: Raspberry Pomegranate (Crave Control), Acai Grape Blueberry (Hi-Energy), Orange Cranberry Tangerine  (Wake-Up), Pink Citrus Berry (Power), Goji Black Cherry (Shape)  and Lemonade Passionfruit (Total-V).

As far as the taste goes, the flavors were defiantly a hit. I found that I reached for a Skinny Water before reaching for my normal diet soda. I have cut back on my diet soda intake, but it still hits the spot. Plain water tastes good to me, but I find myself needing a little flavor. I usually will take a refillable water bottle and buy some expensive water flavor packets to put in it. This is beginning to get almost as expensive as soda. Skinny Water would be a better replacement then my usual flavor water in the fact that it contains vitamins that I don’t normally get.

I work a second job overnight and always need something to take with me on the go. A pick-me-up would also help and that is where soda usually comes into play. I tried the “Wake-up” Skinny Water and now prefer this. It has a great orange flavor with a hint of cranberry to it. I ran out of the two that I had pretty quickly and begin to crave them. What the heck do they put in it to make it so addicting? I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary for me when drinking the Crave Control, Shape, or Total-V drinks. The Power and Hi-Energy certainly put a little pep in my step, though.

Overall, I love the flavors and am excited to see what flavors come next in the line of drinks. I will also be looking for this product in my local CVS.

Live Below The Line #LiveBelowTheLine

I have signed up for the campaign called “Live Below The Line”. This campaign is done worldwide to bring attention to poverty that is facing many people today. This campaign runs from May 7th to May 11th. I am allowed to use $7.50 for the entire 5 days of food and can only eat up to $1.50 each day. This amount is designated as the worldwide average  for people living in extreme poverty. This doesn’t give you many options for food each day, which is more then most people get while leaving under these conditions. Children die each day from malnutrition and starvation. I hope that my part in this campaign can at least influence one person to donate time, money, or anything else to someone in need. I will be posting in the next couple of days my list of food for the week and the total money spent. Once the campaign begins, I will be updating you each night with my food for the day and the amount that it cost for that food. Tap water is the only liquid that I am to drink also. If you are interested in joining me in my journey, you can sign up HERE.
